Beschreibung
Zur Abgabe kommt einer von zwei Bässen, auf die ich ganz besonders Stolz bin. Ein Projekt das ich lange im Kopf hatte und jetzt dann endlich auch die passenden Bässe hierzu hatte, um das umzusetzen. Ein Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass von 1965 in schwarz Nitro lackierter Decke in der Optik eines 1963er 500/1. Das Schwarz Pigment das ich hierfür verwendet habe, ist eines der dunkelsten Schwarzpigmente die man auf dem Markt bekommen kann. Es wurden 10 Schichten aufgetragen, gefolgt von 10 Klarlackschichten. Liebevoller Aufbau dieser Deckenschicht bis ins kleinste Detail. Die Optik ist einfach grandios und man sieht auch leider jeden Fingerabdruck darauf 😉 Ich habe bisher nirgends so eine Kombination gesehen, daher macht es mich auch hier ganz besonders stolz, diese Kreation euch vorzustellen. Bestückt komplett mit goldfarbener Hardware und natürlich auch mit den berühmten Franz Pix „Nova Sonic“ Tonabnehmer und der berühmte Violin Bass Sound. Als Basis diente hier ein früher 1965 mit breitem Control Panel. Der Bass hat hierzu ein paar optische Umbauten von mir bekommen, so dass er an einen 1963er Bass erinnert – Hinzu kommt, dass ich auch die originalen Specs übernommen habe. Der Hals ist ein einteilig und stammt aus einer damaligen Höfner Auktion und wurde bisher noch nie an einem Bass verbaut und wurde daher von mir neu lackiert in Sunburst. Ein Unikat! Bisher habe ich nicht vor weitere davon zu fertigen, mal schauen 🙂
Der 500/1 ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Der Bass hat von mir einen Neck-Reset mit Hautleim bekommen und hat nun wieder den korrekten Halswinkel mit einer schönen flachen Saitenlage. Aufgezogen sind neue Pyramid Vintage 63 Faltwound Saiten.
Der Violin Bass hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert sowie jede einzelne Schraube. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und auf Erdung geprüft. Jedes einzelne Bauteil zerlegt, überprüft, gereinigt und aufpoliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage, Griffbrett gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich. Der 500/1 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

Generelle Information:
Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Vintage Instrument. Die Zustand Beschreibung entspricht dieser, wenn Ihr zu mir in den Laden kommt und das Instrument direkt mitnehmen würdet. Durch die Temperaturgradiente beim Versand mit Luftfracht, kann es zu Änderungen am Zustand des Instrumentes kommen. z.B. Celluloid Schlagbretter könnten reißen oder schrumpfen durch die Spannung. Ebenfalls könnten Tonabnehmer durch die Draht Ausdehnung und Schrumpfung Ihre Funktion durch lösen der Lotstellen verlieren. Ich bin bei Reklamationen sehr entgegenkommend, aber bitte beachtet dieses und erwartet bitte kein Neuinstrument.

I’m offering one of two basses I’m particularly proud of. A project I’ve had in mind for a long time, and now I finally have the right basses to realize it. A Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass from 1965 with a black nitrocellulose lacquer top in the look of a 1963 500/1. The black pigment I used for this is one of the darkest black pigments available on the market. 10 coats were applied, followed by 10 coats of clear varnish. This top layer was lovingly built up down to the smallest detail. The look is simply magnificent and, unfortunately, you can see every fingerprint on it 😉 I’ve never seen a combination like this before, so I’m particularly proud to present this creation to you. Equipped completely with gold-colored hardware and, of course, the famous Franz Pix „Nova Sonic“ pickups and the famous violin bass sound. The basis for this model was an early 1965 with a wide control panel. I made a few cosmetic modifications to the bass, making it reminiscent of a 1963 bass. I also retained the original specs. The neck is a one-piece, sourced from a Höfner auction from that time. It’s never been used on a bass before, so I refinished it in sunburst. A one-of-a-kind piece! I don’t plan on making any more of these yet, so we’ll see 🙂
The 500/1 is from 1965! Accordingly, it shows signs of wear! There are dings, dents, scratches, and cracks on the headstock, body, and other parts. All pickups work, as do every switch and rotary control. I gave the bass a neck reset with hide glue and it now has the correct neck angle again with a nice flat action. It’s fitted with new Pyramid Vintage ’63 folded-wound strings.
I gave the violin bass a comprehensive overhaul. I thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and polished the paintwork. Mechanics were disassembled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated as well as every single screw. All electrical system treated, cleaned and checked for grounding. Every single component is disassembled, checked, cleaned and polished. The neck is adjusted for good string action, the fretboard is cleaned, dressed, oiled and sanded. No refret required. The 500/1 is octave clean and setuped.

Information:
It is a vintage instrument. The condition description corresponds to this when you come to me in the shop and would take the instrument directly with you. The temperature gradient when shipping with air freight can lead to changes in the condition of the instrument. e.g. Celluloid pickguard could tear or shrink due to tension. Likewise, pickups due to the wire expansion and shrinkage could lose their function by loosening the solder points. I am very accommodating with complaints, but please note this and do not expect a new instrument.
Please look closely at the pictures and ask as many questions as possible if something is unclear. Prefer a few more questions than to have the surprise afterwards. The shipment is securely packed.
