Zur Abgabe kommt eine schöne alte Höfner 450 S aus dem Jahre 1966 in wunderschöner Redburst Lackierung. Schlichtes Design, bewährte Höfner Fertigungskunst und der typische Schlaggitarren Sound, den man von dieser Gitarre erwarten kann. Das S im Namen steht für das Single Cutaway und das E2 für die 2 elektrischen Tonabnehmer.
Die 450 ist von 1966! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich trotz des Alters dennoch Gebrauchsspuren auf Lack, Hardware und Kunststoff. Der Lack ist trotz dem Alter in einem guten Zustand und glänzt sehr schön nach der Restaurierun. Das Celluloid Schlagbrett hat Abnutzungen und Gebrauchsspuren, ist aber noch super erhalten. Die Gitarre hat einen Neckreset bekommen. Die Saitenlage ist in den höheren Bünden aber dennoch minimal höher, da das Griffbrett sich hier über die Jahre durch einen falschen Halswinkel abgesetzt hat. Bünde haben noch genug Material, wurden abgerichtet und Trussrod funktioniert. An der Eingangsbuchse war einmal ein Bruch, dieser wurde in der Vergangenheit repariert und ist stabil. Der Hals Tonabnehmer wurde von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original.
Die 450 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Allgemein jede einzelne Schraube. Der Hals eingestellt für eine gute Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die 450 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

Up for sale is a beautiful vintage Höfner 450 S from 1966 in a stunning redburst finish. Simple design, proven Höfner craftsmanship and the typical rhythm guitar sound you’d expect from this instrument. The „S“ in the name stands for the single cutaway, and the „E2“ for the two electric pickups.
The 450 is from 1966! Accordingly, it shows signs of wear! Despite its age, there are still signs of use on the finish, hardware, and plastic. The finish is in good condition despite its age and shines beautifully after restoration. The celluloid pickguard shows wear and tear but is still in excellent condition. The guitar has had a neck reset by me with hide glue. The action is still slightly higher in the upper frets because the fretboard has settled over the years due to an incorrect neck angle. The frets still have plenty of material, have been leveled, and the truss rod works. There was a break in the input jack at some point, which was repaired in the past and is stable. The neck pickup was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The electronics are original. The guitar has been refretted by me with Wagner fret wire.
I gave the 450 a major overhaul. The lacquer was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Tuners were disassembled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. Generally every single screw. The neck adjusted for a good string action. Fretboard and frets dressed, cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The guitar is ocatve clean and setuped and plays beautiful with the strung on Pyramid Bronze strings
