Zur Abgabe kommt aus meiner Private Collection dieser wunderschöne Höfner 185 Bass mit den toll klingenden Franz Pix 511 Nova Super Pickups aus dem Jahre 1965. In der Farbe weiß tatsächlich eher selten zu bekommen und dann meist nicht mit dieser Pickup Konfiguration und schmalen Rahmen. Der Bass macht einen unglaublichen Eindruck und wem die Bilder gefallen, wird Ihn real noch mehr lieben! Mit gerade mal 2,92kg ein Model der leichteren Sorte. Hatte lange überlegt ob ich Ihn abgebe, aber habe mich entschieden nur noch rote Instrumente zu „sammeln“ und daher darf dieser großartige Bass in neue Hände gehen.
Der 185 ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat Er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Der Lack hat dennoch einen unglaublich schönen kräftigen Glanz. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen – Hat aber auch noch einen sehr schönen starken Glanz und ist Tiefschwarz. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist noch sehr gut leserlich. Zwei Spulen der Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neugewickelt – Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Der Hals ist gerade, abgerichtet und eingestellt.
Der 185 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Der 185 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

Up for sale is this beautiful Höfner 185 Bass with the great sounding Franz Pix 511 Nova Super Pickups from 1965 out of my private collection. The white color is actually rarely available and then mostly not with this pickup configuration and the small pickup frames. The bass makes an unbelievable impression and if you like the pictures, you will love it even more in real! At just 2.92kg a model of the lighter variety. Had thought for a long time whether I would give it up, but decided to only „collect“ red instruments and therefore this great bass can go into new hands.
The 185 is from 1965! Accordingly, it has signs of use! There are quirks, things and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and parts. The paint still has an incredibly beautiful, strong shine and become over the time a soft Creme color touch. The pickguard also has some scratches and wear – but it also has a very nice, strong shine and is jet black. The letters on the pickguard are still very legible. Two coils of the pickups were rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and rotary potentiometer. The electronics are original. The neck is straight, sanded and set up.
I gave the 185 a major overhaul. The paint is cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanisms have been cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a great action. Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 185 is ocatve clean and setuped.
