Zur Abgabe kommt dieser wunderschöne Höfner 500/5 Bass aus dem Jahre 1965 mit den berühmten Höfner Franz Pix 511B Staple „Nova Sonic“ Tonabnehmer, wie Sie auch dieser eine berühmte Musiker in seinem Bass hat. Der Bass wird umgangssprachlich auch President genannt – So hieß aber nur das Modell im Selmer Katalog, dies hier ist eine deutsche Auslieferung damaliger Zeit und wurde unter dem Namen 500/5 vertrieben. Der Bass hat von mir eine vollständige Restaurierung inklusive Neck-Reset bekommen und hat einen wahnsinnig riesig drückenden und voluminösen Bass Sound.
Der 500/5 ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat dieser Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Das Schlagbrett ist eine authentische Replika gefertigt von mir. Hergestellt aus echtem Celluloiud, wie es damals auch verwendet wurde, kopiert von einem original Schlagbrett. Beide Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Der Bass hat von mir einen Neck-Reset mit Hautleim bekommen und hat nun wieder den korrekten Halswinkel mit einer guten Saitenlage. Der Bass war einmal umgebaut auf 3 Wege Schalter, aufgrund dessen haben zwei originale Potis gefehlt. Ich habe die Tone Potis gegen CTS Potentiometer getauscht. Auf der Rückseite am Hals gab es einen Overspray, da hier einmal ein kleines Schlecht repariertes Loch von einem Gurtpin war. Der Steg ist ein neuer von Höfner. Ansonsten ist der Bass im Original Zustand.
Der Bass hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert sowie jede einzelne Schraube. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und auf Erdung geprüft. Jedes einzelne Bauteil zerlegt, überprüft, gereinigt und aufpoliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage, Griffbrett gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich. Der 500/5 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.
Bitte beachtet bei dieser Ausführung des 500/5 das Vintage Wiring der Potentiometer. Der Sound der Tonabnehmer kann sich untereinander beeinflussen, je nachdem wie die Tone Potis geregelt werden

Generelle Information:
Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Vintage Instrument. Die Zustand Beschreibung entspricht dieser, wenn Ihr zu mir in den Laden kommt und das Instrument direkt mitnehmen würdet. Durch die Temperaturgradiente beim Versand mit Luftfracht, kann es zu Änderungen am Zustand des Instrumentes kommen. z.B. Celluloid Schlagbretter könnten reißen oder schrumpfen durch die Spannung. Ebenfalls könnten Tonabnehmer durch die Draht Ausdehnung und Schrumpfung Ihre Funktion durch lösen der Lotstellen verlieren. Ich bin bei Reklamationen sehr entgegenkommend, aber bitte beachtet dieses und erwartet bitte kein Neuinstrument.

Up for sale is this beautiful Höfner 500/5 bass from 1965 with the famous Höfner Franz Pix 511B Staple „Nova Sonic“ pickup, like the one this famous musician has in his bass. The bass is also colloquially called President – but that was only the name of the model in the Selmer catalog, this is a German delivery version from that time and was sold under the name 500/5. The bass received a complete restoration from me including a neck reset and has an incredibly powerful and voluminous bass sound.
The 500/5 is from 1965! Accordingly, it has signs of wear! There are quirks, dings and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and the parts. The pickguard is an authentic replica made by me. Made from real Celluloid as used back then, copied from an original pickguard. Both pickups was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. I gave the bass a neck reset with hide glue and now has the correct neck angle again with good string action. The bass was once converted to a 3-way switch, which meant that two original pots were missing. I swapped the tone pots for CTS potentiometers. There was some overspray on the back of the neck because there was a small, poorly repaired hole from a strap pin. The bridge is a new one from Höfner. Otherwise the bass is in its original condition.
I gave the bass a comprehensive overhaul. I thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and polished the paintwork. Mechanics were disassembled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated as well as every single screw. All electrical system treated, cleaned and checked for grounding. Every single component is disassembled, checked, cleaned and polished. The neck is adjusted for great string action, the fingerboard is cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. No refret required. The 500/5 is octave clean and setuped.
Comes without Case, but will be packed safety!
Please note the vintage wiring of the potentiometers with this version of the 500/5. The sound of the pickups can influence each other depending on how the tone pots are controlled

Information:
It is a vintage instrument. The condition description corresponds to this when you come to me in the shop and would take the instrument directly with you. The temperature gradient when shipping with air freight can lead to changes in the condition of the instrument. e.g. Celluloid pickguard could tear or shrink due to tension. Likewise, pickups due to the wire expansion and shrinkage could lose their function by loosening the solder points. I am very accommodating with complaints, but please note this and do not expect a new instrument.
Please look closely at the pictures and ask as many questions as possible if something is unclear. Prefer a few more questions than to have the surprise afterwards. The shipment is securely packed.
