Eines der besten Gitarren ever! Höfner 176! Das sind die 60er, dass ist Surf, dass ist Rock n Roll! Die 176 bietet all das, was man bei der 172, 173 und 175 vermisst. Die Schaltung ist sehr ausgeklügelt, aber sehr einfach zu verstehen. Die Ton-Variation rießig, Favoriten lassen sich da schnell finden – Eher die Qual der Wahl welchen Ton man gerade spielen möchte. Ausgestattet mit drei der berühmten Höfner Franz Pix 511 „Nova Sonic“ Humbuckern, liefert die Gitarre eine tolle Flexibilität für alle gängige Musikrichtungen.
Die 176 ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich trotz des Alters dennoch Gebrauchsspuren auf Lack, Hardware und Kunststoff. Der Lack am Hals zeigt einige Haarrisse und Abnutzungen, glänzt aber noch sehr schön und ist im super Zustand. Das Vinyl ist noch sehr gut erhalten, liegt überall an und glänzt nach der Restaurierung wieder sehr schön – Altersbedingt ist das Vinyl über die Jahre minimal vergilbt. Der Keder ringsherum liegt auch noch gut an. Das Celluloid Schlagbrett hat Abnutzungen und Gebrauchsspuren, ist aber noch super erhalten und rissfrei. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist noch gut leserlich. 3 von 6 Spulen der Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Die 176 wurde von mir mit Wagner Bünden neu bundiert.
Die 176 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vinyl und Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Allgemein jede einzelne Schraube. Vibrato zerlegt, aufbereitet und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt, geprüft und auf Erdung kontrolliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die 176 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

One of the best guitars ever! Höfner 176! That’s the 60s, that’s surf, that’s rock’n’roll! The 176 offers everything you miss on the 172, 173 and 175. The circuit is very sophisticated, but very easy to understand. The tone variation is huge, you can quickly find your favorites – it’s more like a difficult choice as to which tone you want to play. Equipped with three of the famous Höfner Franz Pix 511 „Nova Sonic“ humbuckers, the guitar offers great flexibility for all common styles of music.
The 176 is from 1965! Accordingly, it has signs of wear! Despite its age, there are still signs of wear on the paint, hardware and plastic. The paint on the neck shows some hairline cracks and wear, but still shines beautifully and is in great condition. The vinyl is still in very good condition, fits snugly everywhere and shines beautifully again after the restoration – due to its age, the vinyl has yellowed slightly over the years. The piping all around also still fits well. The celluloid pickguard has wear and signs of use, but is still in great condition and crack-free. The lettering on the pickguard is still easy to read. 3 of 6 coils of the pickups was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The electronics are original. I refretted the 176 with Wagner frets.
I gave the 176 a major overhaul. The lacquer and vinyl was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. The vibrato was completely dismantled, cleaned, prepared and re-lubricated by me. Runs nice and smooth. Mechanisms were disassembled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. Generally every single screw. All electrics treated, cleaned, checked and grounded controlled. The neck adjusted for a great action. Fretboard and frets dressed, cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The guitar is ocatve clean and setuped and plays beautiful with the strung on Pyramid Nickel Roundwound strings
