C’mon c‘mon…..Hier haben wir einen wundervollen 90er Jahre Höfner Vintage ’61 Cavern Reissue Bass abzugeben. Dieser Bass gehört zu den Reihen, welche Höfner damals wieder auf großer Nachfrage der Fans in Mitte der 90er Jahre rausbrachte. Dabei wurde viel Wert auf authentisches Aussehen mit dem 1961er Model gelegt. Heute baut Höfner dasselbe Model unter dem Namen 500/1 „Cavern“– Wieso? Tja, weil Paul McCartney so einen in den Anfangszeiten der Beatles gespielt hat und neben den Auftritten in Hamburg, waren Sie in England die meiste Zeit im Cavern Club unterwegs. Leider ist mir ein exaktes Datieren auf das Jahr nicht möglich, müsste aber Mitte/Ende 90er Jahre sein – Ohne Gewähr! Was bei diesem Bass auffällt, und ich habe einige alte 500/1 Violin Bässe in meiner Sammlung – DAS ist der Sound der ersten zwei Beatles Alben. Spielt man All my loving oder Twist and Shout zum Album mit einem gewöhnlichen 500/1, merkt man einfach, dass es zwar passt, aber irgendwas anders ist. Spielt man es mit diesem hier, merkt man einfach wie der Sound mit dem aus dem Album verschmilzt. Dabei brauch es nicht große Einstellungen, der Cavern macht einfach DIESEN Sound. Dabei braucht man sich bei diesem Bass um fehlende Höhen keine Sorgen machen, diese sind da. Widderrum kann man sich aber sicher sein, dass man mit diesem Bass richtig drücken kann!!! Ich bin von Ihm sehr begeistert – Der Hals ist wundervoll im Profil, schnell zu spielen und sehr stabil.
Der Bass ist aus den 90er Jahren! Entsprechend hat der Bass Gebrauchsspuren! Der Lack hat hier und da leichte Dings und Dongs, gerade am Binding und ist hier über die Jahre sehr vergilbt. Dennoch ist der Allgemein Zustand unglaublich gut. Der Lack ist sehr gut erhalten und glänzt noch unglaublich schön. Die Bünde sind im Super Zustand, ebenso wie das Griffbrett und eine super Saitenlage wurde eingestellt. Die Elektronik arbeitet zuverlässig. Am Mittleren Tonabnehmer war typischerweise der Rahmen auf einer Seite (in Richtung Steg zeigend) gebrochen – Das passiert durch zu festes anziehen der Tonabnehmerhalter Schrauben. Wurde von mir geklebt und hält jetzt wieder zuverlässig – Sieht man allerdings beim genauen Hinschauen. Ein Tea-Knopf Regler war angerissen, wurde ebenfalls geklebt und ist nur beim genauen hinschauen sichtbar.
Der Bass hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt und geölt. Der „Cavern“ ist Bundrein und eingestellt.
Der Bass hat derzeit LaBella Black Nylon Saiten aufgezogen haben. Auf Wunsch kann ich auch kostenlos Höfner HCT Roundwound Saiten aufziehen. Gegen Aufpreis kann ich auch Pyramid 640 Gold Chrom Nickel Flatwound Saiten aufziehen. Hierzu bitte einen Satz aus dem Shop mit in den Warenkorb packen und eine kurze Nachricht hierzu hinterlassen.

! Anmerkung zur Corona Lage:

C’mon c’mon… ..Here we have a wonderful 90s Höfner Vintage ’61 Cavern Reissue Bass. This bass is one of the series that Höfner released back in the mid-1990s due to great demand from fans. A lot of emphasis was placed on authentic looks with the 1961 model. Today Höfner builds the same model under the name 500/1 „Cavern“ – why? Well, because Paul McCartney played one in the early days of the Beatles and in addition to appearances in Hamburg, they spent most of the time in England at the Cavern Club. Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to exactly date the year, but it should be in the mid / late 90s – without guarantee! What is striking about this bass, and I have some old 500/1 violin basses in my collection – THAT is the sound of the first two Beatles albums. If you play All my loving or Twist and Shout on the album with an ordinary 500/1, you just notice that it fits, but is something different. If you play it with a Cavern like this one, you just notice how the sound merges with that from the album. It does not need large settings, the cavern simply makes THIS sound. You don’t have to worry about missing heights with this bass, they are there. Also you can be sure that you can really push with this bass !!! I am very enthusiastic about him – the neck is wonderful in profile, quick to play and very stable.
The bass is from the 90s! Accordingly, the bass has signs of wear! The paint has light things and dongs here and there, especially on the binding, and has been yellowed here over the years. Still, the general condition is incredibly good. The paint is very well preserved and still shines incredibly beautiful. The frets are in great condition, as is the fingerboard and a great string position. The electronics work reliably. The frame on the middle pickup was typically broken on one side (pointing towards the bridge) – this happens when the pickup holder screws are tightened too tight. Was glued by me and now holds reliably again – but you can see it when you look closely. A tea button knob was torn, was also glued and is only visible when you look closely.
I have given the bass a major overhaul. The paint was cleaned, disinfected and polished by me comprehensively. All electrical equipment treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a great string action. Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated and oiled. The „Cavern“ is octave clean and setuped
The bass currently has LaBella Black Nylon strings on it. On request I can also wind up Höfner HCT Roundwound strings for free free. For an additional charge, I can also put on Pyramid 640 Gold Chrome Nickel Flatwound strings. For this please select a set from the shop and send me a short message.
