Beschreibung
Zur Abgabe kommt dieser wunderschöne Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass aus dem Jahre 1961. Das Design der Franz Pix Type 3 Tonabnehmer Anordnung ist einfach der Wahnsinn – Umgangssprachlich auch als „Cavern Look“ bezeichnet, da der bekannte Beatles Bass Spieler zu seiner Zeit in Hamburg und eben auch im Cavern Club einen 500/1 mit dieser Tonabnehmer Anordnung gespielt hat, der jetzt unter anderem im „Trace the Bass Projekt“ nach seinem Verlust/Diebstahl Weltweit gesucht wird. Wer den Sound aus den ersten Beatles Alben haben möchte – Hier ist der Gral, komplett von mir restauriert und definitiv auch eine Wertanlage.
Der 500/1 ist von 1961! Entsprechend hat Er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Der Lack ist überzogen mit kleinen feinen Rissen, Dellen und Macken, hat aber nun nach der Restaurierung wieder einen wunderschönen tiefen Glanz. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen und wurde von mir Stellenweise repariert, aufgrund Bohrungen die in der Vergangenheit an Ihm durchgeführt wurden. Fällt nur auf, wenn man es weiß, denke ich konnte es sehr gut wieder rückgängig machen und das Schlagbrett glänzt jetzt wieder schön in seinem alten Glanz. Die Beschriftung auf dem Control Panel ist noch gut leserlich. Der Steg-Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt – Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Beide Tonabnehmer funktionieren , sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Der 3 teilige Hals ist gerade, abgerichtet und eingestellt. Der Bass hat von mir einen Neck-Reset bekommen und hat nun wieder den korrekten Halswinkel. In der Vergangenheit wurden die original Mechaniken gegen neuere Höfner Rugby Mechaniken ausgetauscht. Ebenso hat der Bass einen neuen Höfner Pickguard-Halter bekommen, ansonsten ist der Bass im Original Zustand.
Der 500/1 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert sowie jede einzelne Schraube. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und auf Erdung geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage, Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich. Der 500/1 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.
Kommt ohne Case, wird aber sehr sicher verpackt. Auf Wunsch kann ein neues Case bei mir im Shop erworben werden.

Generelle Information:
Es handelt sich hierbei um ein Vintage Instrument. Die Zustand Beschreibung entspricht dieser, wenn Ihr zu mir in den Laden kommt und das Instrument direkt mitnehmen würdet. Durch die Temperaturgradiente beim Versand mit Luftfracht, kann es zu Änderungen am Zustand des Instrumentes kommen. z.B. Celluloid Schlagbretter könnten reißen oder schrumpfen durch die Spannung. Ebenfalls könnten Tonabnehmer durch die Draht Ausdehnung und Schrumpfung Ihre Funktion durch lösen der Lotstellen verlieren. Ich bin bei Reklamationen sehr entgegenkommend, aber bitte beachtet dieses und erwartet bitte kein Neuinstrument.

This beautiful Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass from 1961 is up for sale. The design of the Franz Pix Type 3 pickup arrangement is simply amazing – colloquially also referred to as the „cavern look“ because of the well-known Beatles bass player in his time in Hamburg and also played a 500/1 with this pickup design at the Cavern Club, which is now being searched for worldwide in the „Trace the Bass Project“ after its loss/theft. If you want the sound from the first Beatles albums – here is the grail, completely restored by me and definitely an investment.
The 500/1 is from 1961! Accordingly, it has signs of wear! There are quirks, dings and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and the parts. The paint is covered with small, fine cracks, dents and blemishes, but now has a beautiful, deep shine again after the restoration. The pickguard also has some scratches and wear and has been repaired in places by me due to drilling that was done on it in the past that are also on the body. It’s only noticeable if you know it, I think I was able to undo it very good and the pickguard now shines beautifully in its old shine. The labeling on the control panel is still legible. The bridge pickup was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original.. Both pickups work, as do every switch and rotary pot. The electronics are original. The 3-piece neck is straight, dressed and adjusted. I gave the bass a neck reset and now has the correct neck angle again. In the past, the original mechanics were replaced with newer Höfner Rugby mechanics. The bass also has a new Höfner pickguard holder, otherwise the bass is in its original condition.
I gave the 500/1 a major overhaul. The lacquer was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanisms have been disassembled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated also every screw and part. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked for grounding. The neck adjusted for a great action, fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 500/1 is ocatve clean and setuped.

Information:
It is a vintage instrument. The condition description corresponds to this when you come to me in the shop and would take the instrument directly with you. The temperature gradient when shipping with air freight can lead to changes in the condition of the instrument. e.g. Celluloid pickguard could tear or shrink due to tension. Likewise, pickups due to the wire expansion and shrinkage could lose their function by loosening the solder points. I am very accommodating with complaints, but please note this and do not expect a new instrument.
