Zur Abgabe kommt eine totale Schönheit – Eine Höfner 173 im Brokat Vinyl Überzug. Das sind die 60er, das ist Rock n Roll! Diese 173 ist mit Ihren Höfner Super Tonabnehmer ein totales Rockbrett aber gleichzeitig eine totale Blues Lady. Die neuen aufgezogenen Pyramid Nickel Classic Saiten harmonieren überragend gut mit dieser E-Gitarre und Sie spielt sich Butterweich damit. Durch die Vintage-Verdrahtung der Tone Potis, zusammen mit den Wahlstellungen des Tonabnehmer-Wahlschalters, lassen sich hier unglaublich viele Sound Variationen kreieren. Es macht richtig Spaß, diese Gitarre zu spielen. Ich tue mich auch irgendwie schwer diese herzugeben. Wenn Sie keiner nimmt, behalte ich Sie 😊 Dieses Gitarrenmodel wurde 1962 eingeführt und somit ist diese Höfner 173 eine der ersten aus der Reihe.
Die Gitarre ist von 1962! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Wobei wir hier von einem sehr guten Allgemeinzustand sprechen können! Das Tolex hat keine Risse, auch das weiße Binding drum herum ist in einem Super Zustand und liegt überall sauber an. Am Tolex selbst sieht man vereinzelt Abfärbungen – Sollte auf den Bildern gut erkennbar sein, es fällt kaum auf, an den Stellen fehlt etwas Gold. Das Rote Celluloid Schlagbrett, sowie das an der Kopfplatte, als auch auf der Rückseite sind Rissfrei und in einem sehr guten glänzenden Zustand. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Alle 3 Tonabnehmer, bzw. 5 von 6 Spulen aus den Humbuckern wurden von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Die Bünde sind im guten Zustand. Der Hals ist gerade, Trussrod funktioniert und ich habe eine sehr gute Saitenlage eingestellt. Die Mechaniken sind aufgrund der Konstruktion und dem dünnen Material etwas verbogen, lassen sich aber noch ohne Probleme verwenden. Manche Bilder wirken auf den Metalteilen etwas Gelb, dass kommt von der Reflektion der Umgebung. Die Teile glänzen noch sehr schön
Die Gitarre hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vinyl wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Das Vibrato & Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen.
Die Gitarre ist ready to Rock n Roll und zwar mal richtig!

Here we have a real beauty available – a Höfner 173 in brocade vinyl cover. This is the 60s, this is rock n roll! With its Höfner Super Pickups, this 173 is a total rock board but also a total blues lady. The new wound up Pyramid Nickel Classic strings harmonize extremely well with this electric guitar and it plays butter softly with it. Thanks to the vintage wiring of the tone pots, together with the selector positions of the pickup selector switch, an unbelievable number of sound variations can be created here. It’s really fun to play this guitar. I also find it difficult to give this up somehow. If no one takes it, I’ll keep it 😊 This guitar model was introduced in 1962, making this Höfner 173 one of the first in the series.
The guitar is from 1962! Accordingly, it has signs of wear! Although we can speak of a very good general condition! The Tolex has no cracks, and the white binding around it is in great condition and fits perfectly everywhere. There are occasional discolorations on the Tolex itself – should be clearly visible on the pictures, it is hardly noticeable, there is some gold missing in the places. The red celluloid pickguard, as well as that on the head plate and on the back are crack-free and in a very good shiny condition. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. All 3 pickups, or 5 of 6 coils from the humbuckers, were rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same turn direction; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. The frets are in good condition. The neck is straight, Trussrod works and I have set a good string action. The mechanics are slightly bent due to the construction and the thin material, but can still be used without problems. Some pictures look a bit yellow on the metal parts, that comes from the reflection of the surroundings. The parts still shine very nicely
The guitar has received a comprehensive overhaul from me. I thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and polished the vinyl. The vibrato & tuners were cleaned and re-lubricated. Total electrics treated. The neck set for a super string action. Fingerboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and polished.
