Beschreibung
Zur Abgabe kommt eine schöne Höfner 173 in White Vinyl mit dem berühmten Franz pix 510 Diamond Pickups (mit Patent Stickern) aus dem Jahre 1962. Schönes Model mit super erhaltenen Vinyl in der noch alten beidseitigen Weißen Vinyl-Ausführung ohne das Snakeskin Muster. Unschwer zu erkennen, wurde die Gitarre einmal in der Vergangenheit mit dem Namen „Peppino“ beklebt. Die Aufkleber wurden zwischenzeitlich wieder entfernt, der Name hat sich aber aufgrund der UV Verfärbungen in das Vinyl Material eingeprägt und bekommt man so auch nicht mehr weg. In der Zeit wo ich Sie jetzt restauriert habe, hat Sie einfach auch diesen Namen von mir bekommen.
Die 173 bzw. Peppino ist von 1962! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock und den Teilen. Das Vinyl ist noch sehr gut erhalten, liegt überall an und glänzt nach der Restaurierung wieder sehr schön. Altersbedingt ist das Vinyl über die Jahre stark vergilbt. Der Keder ringsherum liegt auch noch gut an. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen, ist aber komplett erhalten. Um das alte Zelluloid Pickguard zu stabilisieren, wurde eine 0,3mm Zelluloid-Platte unter das Pickguard angebracht, damit verbunden und in Form gebracht. Fällt nicht auf und ist wie eins mit dem Pickguard, ich erwähne es aber. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist stellenweise noch gut leserlich, zeigt aber Abnutzungen. Der Hals-Tonabnehmer wurde von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Der Hals ist gerade und wurde von mir neu Bundiert und abgerichtet!
Die 173 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vinyl und Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Vibrato zerlegt, aufbereitet und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt, geprüft und auf Erdung kontrolliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die 173 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

A beautiful Höfner 173 in white vinyl with the famous Franz pix 510 Diamond pickups (with patent stickers) from 1962 is for sale. Beautiful model with super-preserved vinyl in the still old double-sided white vinyl version without the snakeskin pattern. It is not difficult to recognize that the guitar was once labeled with the name „Peppino“ in the past. The stickers have been removed in the meantime, but due to the UV discoloration, the name has become embossed into the vinyl material and you can’t get rid of it that way. In the time when I restored the 173 she simply got this name from me.
The 173 / Peppino is from 1962! Accordingly, it has signs of use! There are quirks, dings and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock and the parts. The vinyl is still in very good condition, lies everywhere and shines again very nicely after the restoration. Due to age, the vinyl has yellowed significantly over the years. The piping all around also fits well. The pickguard also has some scratches and wear but is completely preserved. To stabilize the old celluloid pickguard, a 0.3mm celluloid sheet was placed under the pickguard, bonded to it and shaped. Doesn’t stand out and is like one with the pickguard, but I’ll mention it. The lettering on the pickguard is still legible in places, but shows signs of wear. The neck pickup was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The neck is straight and was refretted by me and leveled.
I gave the 173 a major overhaul. The vinyl and lacuer was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. The vibrato was completely dismantled, cleaned, prepared and re-lubricated by me. Runs nice and smooth. Mechanisms have been dismantled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned, checked and grounded controlled. The neck adjusted for a great action. Fretboard and frets dressed, cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 173 is ocatve clean and setuped.
