Zur Abgabe kommt eine schöne original Höfner 173 in Sunburst mit den toll klingenden Franz Pix 510 Diamond Pickups aus dem Jahre 1964. Seltener ist diese Version, da auch hier der Hals inkl. Kopfplatte Sunburst lackiert ist, spätere und häufigere Modelle haben einen Schwarzen Hals bzw. eine schwarze Kopfplatte.
Die 173 ist von 1964! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Der Lack hat dennoch einen unglaublich schönen Glanz. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen – Hat aber auch noch einen sehr schönen Glanz. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist noch gut leserlich. Der Steg Tonabnehmer wurde von mir neu gewickelt – Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Der Hals ist gerade, abgerichtet und eingestellt. Werksseitig steht die Halsplatte am Hals Korpus-Üübergang etwas über den Body hinaus, ist rein optisch, der Hals sitzt fest in der Tasche.
Die 173 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die 173 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

A beautiful original Höfner 173 in Sunburst with the famous and good sounding Franz pix 510 diamond pickups from 1964 is for sale. This version is rarer because the neck including the headstock is painted in sunburst, later and more frequent models have a black neck or a black headstock.
The 173 is from 1964! Accordingly, it has signs of use! There are quirks, things and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and parts. But the lacquer has still a beautiful gloss! The pickguard also has some scratches and scuffs, but also a very beautiful shiny gloss. The lettering on the pickguard is still legible in places. The bridge pickup was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and rotary potentiometer. The electronics are original. The neck is straight, sanded and set up. At the factory, the neck plate on the neck body transition shows slightly over the body, is purely optical, the neck sits strong in the pocket.
I gave the 173 a major overhaul. The paint is cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanisms have been cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a great action. Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 173 is ocatve clean and setuped.
