Eines der besten Gitarren ever! Höfner 176 Galaxy! Das sind die 60er, dass ist Surf, dass ist Rock n Roll! Die 176 ist die Deluxe Version und bietet all das, was man bei der 172, 173 und 175 vermisst. Die Schaltung ist sehr ausgeklügelt, aber sehr einfach zu verstehen. Die Tonevariation rießig, Favoriten lassen sich da schnell finden – Eher dann die Qual der Wahl welchen Ton man gerade spielen möchte 🙂 Der Sound ist sehr drückend und es macht wahnsinnig spaß diese Gitarre zu spielen.
Die Gitarre ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Der Sunburst Lack ist überzogen mit Kratzer, Rissen und Macken. Dennoch hat er noch einen sehr schönen Glanz. Der Lack am Hals zeigt einige Haarrisse, glänzt aber noch sehr schön und ist gut. Das Schlagbrett hat altersbedingt Kratzer und Abnutzungen. Die Beschriftung am Schlagbrett ist weitgehendst vorhanden und lesbar. Die Regler arbeiten rausch und knackfrei. Eine Spule des Hals Tonabnehmer wurde von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die 1965er Höfner 176 sind sehr druckvolle Modelle im Vergleich zu den Jahrgängen davor, die Tonabnehmer sind „heißer“, die Schirmung innen verbessert, der Hals schneller und einfacher in der Wartung.
Die Gitarre hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vibrato & Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett wurde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt, geschliffen und Bünde abgerichtet und poliert.

One of the best guitars ever! Höfner 176 Galaxy! This are the 60s, this is Surf, this is Rock n Roll! The 176 is the deluxe version and got all that what you miss on the 172, 173 and 175. The circuit is very cool and easy to understand. The tone variations are big and you find fast your own favorites – It’s hard to decide what tone to use because they sound all very cool 🙂 The sound pressures and it make a lot of fun to play this guitar – really!
The guitar is from 1965! Accordingly, it has signs of use! The sunburst paint is covered with scratches, cracks and quirks. Nevertheless it still has a very nice shine. The paint on the neck shows some hairline cracks, but it still shines very nicely and is good. The pickguard has age-related scratches and wear. The lettering on the pickguard is largely present and legible. The controls work noisily and crack-free. A coil of the neck pickup was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and rotary potentiometer. The 1965s Höfner 176‘s are very powerful models compared to the previous years, the pickups are “hotter”, the shielding has been improved, the neck is faster and easier to maintain.
The guitar has received a comprehensive overhaul from me. The vibrato & tuners were cleaned and re-lubricated. Total electrics treated. The neck set for a super string action. Fingerboard was cleaned, treated, oiled, sanded and also frets where polished and leveled
