Zur Abgabe kommt dieser wunderschöne Höfner 500/1 B Violin Bass mit den toll klingenden Franz Pix 513 Blade Pickups aus dem Jahre 1967. Die Bezeichnung „B“ nach der Modelnummer wurde seinerzeit von Höfner im Katalog geführt und beschrieb dieses Modell mit dem eingebauten, Batteriebetriebenen Bass Booster. Diese Bässe, mit der tollen Spezial Optik, waren nicht lange im Programm und tauchen daher heute etwas seltener auf. Soundmäßig machen diese Modelle enorm Spaß. Der Grundsound mit der Soundkonsole ist schon sehr beeindruckend und durch zuschalten des Bass Boost ergeben sich total neue interessante Sounds. 60s pur! Zum Benutzen des Bass Boosters wird eine 9V Block Batterie benötigt – Diese ist im Lieferumfang nicht enthalten und muss auf der Rückseite des Basses im E-Fach verbaut werden, welches mit einer Metalplatte verdeckt ist.
Der 500/1 ist von 1967! Entsprechend hat Er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Der Lack ist überzogen mit kleinen feinen Rissen, Dellen und Abschürfungen, hat aber nun nach der Restaurierung wieder einen wunderschönen tiefen Glanz. Die Beschriftung auf der Sound Konsole ist noch gut leserlich und ist Rissfrei. Beide Tonabnehmer funktionieren und sind im original Zustand , sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Der 3 teilige Hals ist gerade und eingestellt. Der Bass hat von mir einen Neck-Reset mit Hautleim bekommen und hat nun wieder den korrekten Halswinkel, ebenso hat er am Celuloid am Halsübergang ein paar kosmetische Reparaturarbeiten bekommen. In der Vergangenheit wurden einmal 3 Schrauben am Hals-Korpusübergang verschraubt um den wohl losen Hals zu fixieren – Diese sind nicht mehr notwendig nach dem Neckreset und die Löcher wurden von mir verschlossen. Das Schlagbrett fehlt leider, könnte aber ein Replika fertigen. Der Kunststoff am 3 Wege Tonabnehmer Wahlschalter ist etwas abgebrochen! Der Schalter selbst funktioniert aber noch einwandfrei
Der 500/1 B hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert sowie jede einzelne Schraube. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und auf Erdung geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage, Griffbrett gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich, es ist noch gut Bundmaterial vorhanden. Der 500/1 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.
Kommt ohne Case, wird aber sehr sicher verpackt

Up for sale is this beautiful Höfner 500/1 B violin bass with the great-sounding Franz Pix 513 Blade pickups from 1967. The designation „B“ after the model number was listed by Höfner in the catalog at the time and described this model with the built-in, battery-powered „bass booster“ . These basses with the great special optics were not in the catalog program for long and therefore appear a little less frequently today. In terms of sound these models are a lot of fun. The basic sound with the sound console is very impressive and switching on the bass boost results in totally new and interesting sounds. Pure 60s! A 9V block battery is required to use the bass booster – this is not included in the scope of delivery and must be installed in the Battery electricchamber on the back of the bass which is covered with a metal plate.
The 500/1 is from 1964! Accordingly, it has signs of use! There are quirks, things and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and parts. The paint is covered with small, fine cracks, dents and abrasions, but now has a beautiful deep shine again after the restoration. The lettering on the sound console is still legible and has no cracks. Both pickups work and are in original condition, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The electronics are original. The 3-piece neck is straight and set up. The bass got a neck reset from me with hide glue and now has the correct neck angle again, it also got a few cosmetic repairs on the celuloid at the neck body connection. In the past 3 screws were screwed on the neck-body transition to fix the probably loose neck – these are no longer necessary after the neck reset and the holes were closed by me. Unfortunately, the pickguard is missing, but i could make a replica. The plastic on the 3-way pick-up selector has broken off! The switch itself still works perfectly
I gave the 500/1 B a major overhaul. The lacquer was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanisms have been disassembled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated also every screw and part. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked for grounding. The neck adjusted for a great action, fretboard and frets cleaned, oiled and sanded. The 500/1 is ocatve clean and setuped.
Comes without Case, but will be packed safety!
