Zur Abgabe kommt eine unglaublich schöne original Höfner 173 in weiß vinyl mit den berühmten Franz pix 510 Diamond Pickups aus dem Jahre 1962!!! Typisch für diese Pickups ist, dass diese Single Coils sind, die in einem Humbucker-Gehäuse sitzen, bitte dies beachten! Es handelt sich hierbei um eine der ersten 173 – Das erkennt man gut an dem Vibrato, das Höfner Logo auf dem Headstock das noch ein Decal ist und nicht wie später das 3D Höfner Logo und dem Vinyl Überzug, der hier noch komplett Weiß ist und nicht den Schlangen Skin hat. Natürlich auch am Schlagbrett, was in der Optik später einfach nicht mehr angeboten wurde. Eine wirklich seltene 173
Die 173 ist von 1962! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Lackrisse an Headstock und den Teilen. Das Vinyl ist trotz dem Alter aber noch sehr gut erhalten und nahezu unversehrt und glänzt unglaublich schön. Altersbedingt ist es etwas ins Creme verfärbt an einigen Stellen. Der Keder ist gut erhalten nirgendwo gebrochen und liegt schön und fest ringsum an. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen jedoch noch einen sehr schönen Glanz und ist nirgendwo gebrochen. Die Schrift der Tonabnehmerauswahlschalter ist noch teilweise sehr gut leserlich. Der Hals Tonabnehmer wurde von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Die Bünde sind im guten Zustand und abgerichtet. Eine Neubundierung ist noch nicht erforderlich. Der Hals ist gerade und eingestellt.
Die 173 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vinyl wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die 172 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

Up for sale is an incredibly beautiful original Höfner 173 in white vinyl with the famous Franz pix 510 Diamond pickups from 1962! It is typical for these pickups that they are single coils that sit in a humbucker housing, please note this! It is one of the first 173 – you can see it from the vibrato, the Höfner logo on the headstock that is still a decal and not like later the 3D Höfner logo and the vinyl cover, which is still completely white here and not the snake skin pattern. Of course also on the pickguard, which was simply no longer offered in this optic later. A really rare 173
The 173 is from 1962! Accordingly, it has signs of wear! There are quirks, dings and dongs, scratches and paintcracks on the headstock and parts. Despite its age, the vinyl is still in very good condition and almost intact and has an incredibly beautiful shine. Due to the age it is a bit discolored in the cream in some places. The binding is in good condition, not broken anywhere and is nice and tight all around. The pickguard also has some scratches and wear but still has a very nice shine and is not broken anywhere. The writing on the pickup selector switch is partly very legible. The neck pickup was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The electronic is original. The frets are in good condition and dressed. A refret is not yet necessary. The neck is straight and setuped.
The 173 has received a comprehensive overhaul from me. The vinyl was cleaned, disinfected and polished by me. Mechanics were cleaned and relubricated. All electric treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a super string action. Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The Höfner 173 is octave clean and setuped.
