Zur Abgabe kommt eine wunderschöne in Höfner 4600 aus dem Jahre 1965 in der tollen Redburst Lackierung im wirklich gutem Zustand. Diese Gitarren wurden seinerzeit im Katalog als „Extra Thin“ Modelle gelistet und den Namen haben Sie nicht umsonst – Der Korpus ist mit gerade einmal 3,2 cm (ca 1 1/4″) wirklich Dünn gehalten und sogar 2mm dünner als die bekannte Verythin Modelle. Die Bezeichnung „V2“ stand für die Ausstattung „Vibrato“ und „2“ für die zwei elektrischen Tonabnehmer – Ohne ein Vibrato wäre die Bezeichnung übrigens E2.
Die Gitarre ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Der Lack hat vereinzelt Kratzer, Risse und Macken – Aber alles sehr dezent. Dennoch hat er noch einen guten Zustand und einen schönen Glanz nach der Restaurierung, denke die Bilder sprechen für sich. Das Schlagbrett hat altersbedingt Abnutzungen, ist aber ansonsten Rissfrei und hat einen sehr schönen Tiefschwarzen glänzenden Ton. Die Beschriftung der Volume und Tone Potiknöpfe ist noch sehr schön leserlich und super erhalten. Eine Spule des Steg Tonabnehmer wurde von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Der Hals ist gerade und der Trussrod funktioniert.
Die Gitarre hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Vibrato zerlegt, aufbereitet und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt, geprüft und auf Erdung kontrolliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die Verythin ist Bundrein und eingestellt. Mit den aufgezogenen Pyramid Nickel Classic Saiten, ist diese Höfner hier ein wahres Musikgenusserlebnis

Up for sale is a beautiful Höfner 4600 from 1965 in the great „rube red“ redburst finish in really good condition. These guitars were listed in the catalog that time as „Extra Thin“ models and they don’t have the name for nothing – the body is really thin at just 3.2 cm (approx. 1 1/4″) and even 2mm thinner than the well-known Verythin Models The designation „V2“ stood for the equipment „Vibrato“ and „2“ for the two electric pickups – without a vibrato the designation would be E2 by the way.
The guitar is from 1965! Accordingly, it has signs of use! The paint has a few scratches, cracks and quirks – but everything is very subtle. However, it is still in good condition and has a nice shine after the restoration, I think the pictures speak for themselves. The pickguard has wear due to age, but is otherwise free of cracks and has a very nice deep black shiny tone. The labeling of the volume and tone knobs is still very legible and in great condition. A coil of the bridge pickup was rewound by me. Pickups rewound by me are authentic. I use the same wire type; the same tape and crepe material; the same winding direction; same number of turns; same assembly technique – There is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The neck is straight and the truss rod works.
I gave the Verythin a major overhaul. The lacuer was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. The vibrato was completely dismantled, cleaned, prepared and re-lubricated by me. Runs nice and smooth. Mechanisms have been dismantled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned, checked and grounded controlled. The neck adjusted for a great action. Fretboard cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The Verythin is ocatve clean and setuped. With the Pyramid Nickel Classic strings is this Höfner a true musical pleasure experience
