Zur Abgabe kommt dieser schöne Höfner 185 Bass mit den toll klingenden Franz Pix 511 Nova Super Pickups aus dem Jahre 1964 in der schönen Redburst Ausführung. Besonderheit bei diesem Bass und relativ selten – Der Body ist original aus Mahagoni !
Der 185 ist von 1964! Entsprechend hat er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Der Lack ist trotz dem Alter in einem guten Zustand und glänzt sehr schön nach der Restaurierung. Wie man nicht übersehen kann, ist der Korpus überzogen von sehr vielen Rissen – Vintage Look pur! Die Risse sind solide, heißt, der Lack liegt trotz der Risse noch gut am Korpus an. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer, Verfärbungen und Abnutzungen, glänzt aber noch sehr schön. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist noch gut leserlich. Die Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Der Hals ist gerade, wurde abgerichtet und ist eingestellt.
Der 185 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt, geprüft und auf Erdung kontrolliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine flache Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich. Der 185 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

Up for sale is this beautiful Höfner 185 bass with the great-sounding Franz Pix 511 Nova Super pickups from 1964 in the beautiful redburst version. Very special and very rare – the body is originally made of mahogany!
The 185 is from 1965! Accordingly he has signs of use! There are quirks, dings and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and parts. The paint is in good condition despite its age and has a very nice shine after the restoration. As you can’t miss in seeing the body is covered with many cracks – pure vintage look! The cracks are solid which means that the lacquer is still in good contact with the body despite the cracks. The pickguard also has some scratches, discoloration and wear but still has a very nice shine. The lettering on the pickguard is still legible. The pickups are rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The neck is straight, dressed and set up.
I gave the 185 a major overhaul. The lacquer is cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanics have been cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked for grounding. The neck adjusted for a great action. Fretboard and frets dressed, cleaned, oiled and sanded. The 185 is ocatve clean and setuped.
