Zur Abgabe kommt eine schöne Höfner 173 in solid Toccotronic / Red Burst mit den fabelhaften Franz Pix 513 Blade Tonabnehmer – Und zwar diese mit der Weißen/Beshen Kunststoffabdeckung. Die Franz Pix 513 sind unglaubliche Allrounder und überzeugen mit einer totalen Vielseitigkeit und schönen Wiedergabe des Characters des Instruments. Unglaublich viel Mojo, ich mag diese Tonabnehmer sehr. Jeder Tonabnehmer kann einzeln angewählt werden und die Regler erlauben eine sehr vielseitige Soundeinstellung. Mit Ihrem Gewicht, gehört diese Höfner 173 zu den leichteren Modellen, sehr angenehm zu spielen.
Die Gitarre ist von 1972! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Der Lack ist übersehen von Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Rissen. An den Cutaways an der Halstasche finden sich auf jeder Seite zwei Spannungs-Risse – Diese habe ich geprüft, zur Sicherheit mit Leim behandelt (was aber nicht möglich war, da nur der Lack gerissen ist) und es sind keine Schäden am Korpus, sondern lediglich typische Lack-Spannungsrisse wie wir Sie auch von anderen großen Herstellern kennen. Dennoch ist der Lack sehr schön erhalten und hat noch einen sehr schönen kräftigen Glanz. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen. Die Schrift ist noch sehr gut zu lesen und es ist Rissfrei. Sehr schön sind die seltenen Volume und Tone-Regler. Das Plastic-Cover auf der Rückseite hat Kratzer und Abnutzungsspuren – Eine Ecke war einmal gerissen und wurde wieder geklebt. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Der Steg Tonabnehmer wurde vom Vorbesitzer Neu-Gewickelt. Habe ich mir angeschaut und durchgeprüft und passt gut ins Gesamtbild der Gitarre (auch von den gemessenen Widerständen her, auf Anfrage kann ich diese nennen). Die Bünde sind im guten Zustand und sind sehr Flach. Eine Neubundierung ist noch nicht erforderlich. Der Hals ist gerade und benötigt so gut wie keine Halsstabspannung. Die Mechaniken sind Austauschmechaniken, passen aber gut in das Gesamtbild und arbeiten zuverlässig. Nicht so gut wie komplett neue moderne Tuner – Vintage eben. Die mittlere Hülse des Saitenniederhalters fehlt, ist aber ausreichend halt und druck durch die Hülsen rechts und links außen gegeben.
Die Gitarre hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Das Vibrato & Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die Höfner 173 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.
Die Gitarre ist ready to Rock n Roll und zwar mal richtig!
! Anmerkung zur Corona Lage:

Here we have a beautiful Höfner 173 in solid Toccotronic / Red Burst with the fabulous Franz Pix 513 Blade pickups and the white/cream plastic cover. The Franz Pix 513 are incredible all-rounders and convince with a total versatility and beautiful reproduction of the character of the instrument. Incredibly much Mojo, I really like these pickups. Each pickup can be selected individually and the controls allow a very versatile sound setting. With its weight, this Höfner 173 is one of the lighter models, very pleasant to play.
The guitar is from 1972! Accordingly, it has signs of wear! The paint is overlooked by quirks, dings and dongs, scratches and cracks. On the cutaways on the neck pocket there are two cracks on each side – I checked them, treated them with glue for safety (which was not possible because it is only the lacquer that is cracked) and there is no damage to the body, but only typical paint stress cracks as we know them from other large manufacturers. Nevertheless, the paint is beautifully preserved and still has a very nice strong gloss. The pickguard also has some scratches and wear. The fonts are still very easy to read and it is crack-free. The rare volume and tone controls are very nice. The plastic cover on the back has scratches and signs of wear – a corner was torn once and was glued again. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The bridge pickup was rewound by the previous owner. I looked at it and checked it and it fits well into the overall picture of the guitar (also from the measured resistances, I can name them on request). The frets are in good condition and are very flat. A refret is not yet necessary. The neck is straight and requires nearly no truss rod tension. The mechanics are exchange mechanics, but fit well into the overall picture and work reliably. Not as good as completely new modern tuners – just vintage. The middle sleeve of the string retainer is missing, but is stable and pressure is given by the sleeves on the right and left outside.
The guitar has been given a major overhaul by me. The paint was cleaned, disinfected and polished by me comprehensively. The vibrato & mechanics have been cleaned and relubricated. All electrical equipment treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a great string action. Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The fret intonation is fine and setuped.
