Zur Abgabe kommt eine schöne alte rote Höfner Colorama I von 1960. Hier als Selmer Export Model! Sonst hatte die Colorama die Typennummer 163. Dies sind noch die waren Schönheiten aus der Anfangs Höfner Zeit. Setneck und tolle Hölzer. Ich will nicht sagen, dass diese Höfner besser als spätere klingen, aber ein Blickfang sind Sie definitiv, lassen sich richtig toll bespielen und klingen natürlich einmalig.
Die Gitarre ist von 1960! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Der Lack hat vereinzelt Kratzer, Risse und Macken. Dennoch hat er noch einen sehr guten Zustand und einen unglaublich schönen Glanz nach der Restaurierung. Ein Stück der Verleimung am Korpus hatte sich gelöst und wurde wieder von mir neu angeleimt. Habe die Stelle sauber und auf Pressung verleimt, dass hebt wieder für die Zukunft. Das Schlagbrett hat altersbedingt Kratzer und Abnutzungen und hat einen sehr schönen Tiefschwarzen Ton. An der unteren Stelle des Cutaways war nach dem Schraubenloch ein Stück abgebrochen und wurde mit einem neuen Stück Celuloid repariert. Die Beschriftung am Control Panel ist stellenweise noch schön leserlich und super erhalten. Der Toaster Tonabnehmer ist im Original Zustand und funktioniert, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Der Hals ist super gerade und musste von mir nur minimal abgerichtet werden. Die original Mechaniken wurden in der Vergangenheit gegen Vintage Kluson Mechaniken getauscht. Der Tea-Knob Volume Regler wird statt der Messingeinlage, von einer passenden 1960 Pence Münze geschmückt.
Die Gitarre hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt, geprüft und auf Erdung kontrolliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die Colorama ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

Up for sale is a beautiful old red Höfner Colorama I from 1960. Here as a Selmer export model! Otherwise the Colorama had the type number 163. These are still the beauties from the early days of Höfner. Setneck and great woods. I don’t want to say that these Höfners sound better than later ones, but they are definitely an eye-catcher, can be played really well and of course sound unique.
The guitar is from 1960! Accordingly, it has signs of use! The paint has occasional scratches, cracks and quirks. Nevertheless, it is still in very good condition and has an incredibly beautiful shine after the restoration. A piece of the glue on the body had come loose and I glued it back on again. Have the place clean and glued on pressing, that lifts again for the future. The pickguard has age-related scratches and wear and has a very nice deep black tone. At the bottom of the cutaway a piece broke off after the screw hole and was repaired with a new piece of ceuloid. The labeling on the control panel is still legible in places and is in excellent condition. The toaster pickup is in original condition and works, as does every switch and potentiometer. The neck is straight and only had to be dressed minimally by me. The original mechanics have been exchanged for vintage Kluson mechanics in the past. The tea-knob volume control is adorned with a matching 1960 pence coin instead of the brass inlay.
The guitar got a comprehensive overhaul from me. The paint was thoroughly cleaned, disinfected and polished by me. Mechanics have been cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrical treated, cleaned, tested and checked for grounding. The neck adjusted for a super string action. Fingerboard dressed, cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The Colorama is bundled and discontinued.
