Eines der besten Gitarren ever! Höfner 176 Galaxy! Das sind die 60er, dass ist Surf, dass ist Rock n Roll! Die 176 ist die Deluxe Version und bietet all das, was man bei der 172, 173 und 175 vermisst. Die Schaltung ist sehr ausgeklügelt, aber sehr einfach zu verstehen. Die Tonevariation rießig, Favoriten lassen sich da schnell finden – Eher dann die Qual der Wahl welchen Ton man gerade spielen möchte 🙂 Der Sound ist sehr drückend und es macht wahnsinnig spaß diese Gitarre zu spielen. Hier in der Farbe aller Farben – Solid beautiful rot 😊
Die Gitarre ist von 1964! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Der rote Lack ist überzogen mit Kratzer, Rissen und Macken. Dennoch hat er noch einen sehr schönen Glanz. Der Lack am Hals zeigt einige Haarrisse, glänzt aber noch sehr schön und ist gut erhalten – Beachtet auch die schöne Tigermaserung des Halses. Das Schlagbrett hat altersbedingt Kratzer und Abnutzungen. Am unteren Cutaway fehlt ein kleines Stück Material zum Hals hin. Ein kleiner Riss am Schraubenloch findet sich außen zwischen Bass ON / Discant ON. Die Beschriftung am Schlagbrett ist zwar weitgehendst vorhanden, jedoch nicht mehr wirklich lesbar. Auf den Detailbildern sollte dies erkennbar sein. Das Schlagbrett hatte in der Vergangenheit ein paar Zusatzbohrungen bekommen – Diese habe ich mit Epoxid wieder verschlossen. Die Regler arbeiten rausch und knackfrei. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Der Halstonabnehmer hat am Gehäuse an der Kante eine kleine Delle, beeinflusst aber nicht die Funktion. Die 176 hier ist aus meinem Privatbestand, entsprechend ein eingespieltes Rock n Roll Brett – Ich habe zwei dieser Ladys, daher darf eine gehen 😊
Die Gitarre hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vibrato & Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett wurde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt, geschliffen und Bünde poliert.

One of the best guitars ever! Höfner 176 Galaxy! This are the 60s, this is Surf, this is Rock n Roll! The 176 is the deluxe version and got all that what you miss on the 172, 173 and 175. The circuit is very cool and easy to understand. The tone variations are big and you find fast your own favorites – It’s hard to decide what tone to use because they sound all very cool 🙂 The sound pressures and it make a lot of fun to play this guitar – really! Here in the best color of all colors – solid red 😊
The guitar is from 1964! Accordingly, it has signs of use! The red paint is covered with scratches, cracks and quirks. Nevertheless it still has a very nice shine. The lacquer on the neck shows some hairline cracks, but still shines very nicely and is well preserved – also note the beautiful tiger grain on the neck. The pickguard has age-related scratches and wear. At the lower cutaway a small piece of material is missing towards the neck. There is a small crack at the screw hole on the outside between Bass ON / Discant ON. The lettering on the pickguard is largely present, but no longer really legible. This should be recognizable on the detailed pictures. The pickguard had a few additional holes in the past – I closed these again with epoxy. The controls work noisily and crack-free. All pickups work, as well as every switch and rotary potentiometer. The neck pickup has a small dent on the edge of the case, but does not affect its function. The 176 here is from my private collection, correspondingly a well-rehearsed rock n roll board – I have two of these ladys so one can go 😊
The guitar has received a comprehensive overhaul from me. The vibrato & tuners were cleaned and re-lubricated. Total electrics treated. The neck set for a super string action. Fingerboard was cleaned, treated, oiled, sanded and also frets where polished.
