Zur Abgabe kommt dieser wunderschöne Höfner 185 Bass mit den toll klingenden Franz Pix 511 Nova Super Pickups aus dem Jahre 1964 in der schönen Weiß/Schwarz Vinyl Ausführung.
Der 185 ist von 1964! Entsprechend hat Er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Das Vinyl ist trotz dem Alter in einem sehr guten Zustand und glänzt sehr schön. Das Weiß ist altersbedingt stellenweise ins Creme vergilbt. Der Keder ringsherum ist ebenfalls super erhalten und liegt überall schön an. Das Vinyl ist stellenweise an ein paar wenigen Stellen etwas unterhalb geschrumpft, auf den Bildern sollte es gut sichtbar sein. Ebenfalls ist es am unteren Cutaway am Halsübergang eingerissen. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen, glänzt aber noch sehr schön. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist noch gut leserlich. Eine Spule des Halstonabnehmers wurde von mir neu gewickelt – Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Beide Tonabnehmer funktionieren , sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Der Hals ist gerade, abgerichtet und eingestellt. Auf der Rückseite zeigt der Hals einige Stellen mit Abnutzungen – Ich habe dies belassen weil es altersbedingt einfach gut aussieht – Wenn der neue Besitzer aber einen schwarz glänzenden Hals haben möchte, mir Bescheid sagen, dann kann ich das umlackieren.
Der 185 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vinyl wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super flache Saitenlage (12 Bund = 1,75 mm) Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich. Der 185 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

Up for sale is this beautiful Höfner 185 Bass with the great sounding Franz Pix 511 Nova Super Pickups from 1964 in beautiful White/Black vinyl.
The 185 is from 1964! Accordingly, it has signs of use! There are quirks, things and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and parts. Despite its age, the vinyl is in very good condition and shines very nicely. The white has yellowed into cream in places due to age. The vinyl has shrunk a little below in a few places it should be clearly visible on the pictures. The binding all around is also in great condition and fits nicely everywhere. The pickguard also has some scratches and wear, but still shines very nicely. One coil of the neck pickup was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. Both pickups work as well as every switch and potentiometer. The electronics are original. The neck is straight, dressed, sanded and set up. No refret requiered. On the back of the neck it shows some areas of wear – I left this because it just looks good due to its age – But if the new owner wants a shiny black neck, let me know then I can repaint.
I gave the 185 a major overhaul. The vinyl is cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanisms have been cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a great action (12th fret = 1,75mm) Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 185 is ocatve clean and setuped.
