Zur Abgabe kommt dieser schöne Höfner 185 Bass mit den toll klingenden Franz Pix 511 Nova Super Pickups aus dem Jahre 1964 in schöner solid Weiß Lackierung. Besonderheit bei diesem Bass und relativ selten – Der Body ist original aus Mahagoni !
Der 185 ist von 1964! Entsprechend hat er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Der Lack ist trotz dem Alter in einem guten Zustand und glänzt sehr schön nach der Restaurierung. Wie man nicht übersehen kann, ist der Korpus überzogen von sehr vielen Rissen – Vintage Look pur! Die Risse sind solide, heißt, der Lack liegt trotz der Risse noch gut am Korpus an. Der Hals hat ebenfalls deutliche Lackabnutzungen, Risse und Stellenweise fehlt der Lack und ist von Weiß ins Creme verfärbt. Mir hat die Optik sehr gefallen und ich habe Ihn bewusst nicht neulackiert, da weiße Hälse in Kombination mit weißen solid Bodys sehr selten sind. Die Lacksplitter wurden fixiert, somit ist alles fest und spielbar – Es kann natürlich nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass denoch nach und nach der Hals weitere Spielspuren durch das benutzen bekommen wird. Das Celuloid Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen, glänzt aber noch sehr schön. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist kaum noch lesbar. Es gibt zwei reparierte Stellen am Bass-On Schalter. Die Tonabnehmer sind im original Zustand. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Der Hals ist gerade, eine Abrichtung war nicht nötig und ist eingestellt. Zusammengefasst hat der Bass einen ziemlichen Used-Lock, beeinträchtigt aber in keinster weise sein Spielgefühl und seinen Sound
Der 185 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend behandelt, gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt, geprüft und auf Erdung kontrolliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine gute Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich. Der 185 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

Up for sale is this beautiful Höfner 185 bass with the great-sounding Franz Pix 511 Nova Super pickups from 1964 in a beautiful solid white finish. Special feature of this bass is the body originally made of mahogany!
The 185 is from 1965! Accordingly he has signs of use! There are quirks, dings and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and parts. The paint is in good condition despite its age and has a very nice shine after the restoration. As you can’t miss in seeing the body is covered with many cracks – pure vintage look! The cracks are solid which means that the lacquer is still in good contact with the body despite the cracks. The neck also has clear paint wear, cracks and the paint is missing in places and has discolored from white to cream. I really liked the look and I deliberately didn’t repaint it, because white necks in combination with white solid bodies are very rare. The paint splinters have been fixed, so everything is fixed and playable – Of course, it cannot be ruled out that the neck will gradually get further signs of play through use. The celuloid pickguard also has some scratches and scuffs but still has a very nice shine. The lettering on the pickguard is barely legible. There are two fixed locations on the Bass-On switch. The pickups are in original condition. All pickups work, as well as every switch and rotary potentiometer. The neck is straight, a dressing was not necessary and is adjusted. In summary, the bass has quite a used lock, but in no way affects its feel and sound
I gave the 185 a major overhaul. The lacquer is treated, cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanics have been cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked for grounding. The neck adjusted for a good action. Fretboard and frets cleaned, oiled and sanded. The 185 is ocatve clean and setuped.
