Zur Abgabe kommt dieser wunderschöne Höfner 500/1 Violin Bass mit den toll klingenden Franz Pix 511 Nova Sonic Pickups aus dem Jahre 1964. Eines der schönsten Modeljahre des 500/1 Violin Basses mit dem dezenten Binding und dennoch schmalen Tonabnehmer Rahmen und Control Panel.
Der 500/1 ist von 1964! Entsprechend hat Er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Der Lack ist überzogen mit kleinen feinen Rissen, Dellen und Abschürfungen, hat aber nun nach der Restaurierung wieder einen wunderschönen tiefen Glanz. Das Binding wurde an ein paar Stellen repariert, weshalb hiervon noch Spuren zu sehen sind. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen, glänzt aber noch sehr schön. Die Beschriftung auf dem Control Panel ist noch gut leserlich. Der Hals-Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt – Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Beide Tonabnehmer funktionieren , sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original. Der 3 teilige Hals ist gerade, abgerichtet und eingestellt. Der Bass hat von mir einen Neck-Reset mit Hautleim bekommen und hat nun wieder den korrekten Halswinkel. Der Bass hat in der Vergangenheit nachträgliche Sidedots Bundmarkierungen bekommen, ebenso war ein weiterer Pickup in der Mitte montiert, wo noch die alten Bohrlöcher zu sehen sind. Auf den Bildern wurde der Bass noch mit original neuen Höfner Tea Knobs fotografiert, mittlerweile hat er auch alte 1960er Tea Knobs drauf. Ansonsten ist der Bass im Original Zustand.
Der 500/1 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert sowie jede einzelne Schraube. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage, Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich. Der 500/1 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.
Kommt ohne Case, wird aber sehr sicher verpackt

Up for sale is this beautiful Höfner 500/1 violin bass with the great sounding Franz Pix 511 Nova Sonic pickups from 1964. One of the most beautiful model years of the 500/1 violin bass with the subtle binding and small pickup frame and control panel.
The 500/1 is from 1964! Accordingly, it has signs of use! There are quirks, things and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and parts. The paint is covered with small, fine cracks, dents and abrasions, but now has a beautiful deep shine again after the restoration. The binding was repaired in a few places which is why traces of the repair can still be seen. The pickguard also has some scratches and wear, but still shines very nicely. The lettering on the control panel is still legible. The pickups was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. Both pickups work as well as every switch and potentiometer. The electronics are original. The 2-piece neck is straight, dressed and adjusted. I gave the bass a neck reset with hide glue and it now has the correct neck angle again. In the past the bass was given side dot fret markings. Also in the middle was a third pickup mounted where you can see the old screw holes. In the pictures the bass was still photographed with original new Höfner Tea Knobs, meanwhile it also has old 1960s Tea Knobs on it. Otherwise the bass is in its original condition.
I gave the 500/1 a major overhaul. The lacquer was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanisms have been disassembled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated also every screw and part. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a great action, fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 500/1 is ocatve clean and setuped.
