Eines der besten Gitarren ever! Höfner 176! Das sind die 60er, dass ist Surf, dass ist Rock n Roll! Die 176 ist die Deluxe Version und bietet all das, was man bei der 172, 173 und 175 vermisst. Die Schaltung ist sehr ausgeklügelt, aber sehr einfach zu verstehen. Die Tonevariation rießig, Favoriten lassen sich da schnell finden – Eher dann die Qual der Wahl welchen Ton man gerade spielen möchte 
Der Sound ist sehr imponierent und es macht wahnsinnig Spaß diese Gitarre zu spielen. Ausgestattet mit den berühmten Franz Pix 511 Nova Sonic Pickups und hier in der seltenen Farbe Solid Weiß! Als ich noch weiße Höfner Gitarren gesammelt habe, hatte mir immer eine weiße 176 gefehlt und jetzt ist hier so ein schönes Stück…vielleicht sollte ich doch wieder Weiß sammeln 😉
Die 176 ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich trotz des Alters dennoch Gebrauchsspuren auf Lack, Hardware und Kunststoff. Der weiße Lack ist überzogen mit Kratzer, Rissen und Macken. Dennoch hat er noch einen sehr schönen Glanz durch die Restaurierung wieder bekommen. Der Lack am Hals zeigt einige Haarrisse, glänzt aber noch sehr schön und ist im super Zustand. Das Celluloid Schlagbrett hat Abnutzungen und Gebrauchsspuren, ist aber noch super erhalten und rissfrei. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist noch gut leserlich. Die Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original bis auf in der Vergangenheit getauschte Widerstände mit gleichen Werten.
Die 176 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Vibrato zerlegt, aufbereitet und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt, geprüft und auf Erdung kontrolliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die 176 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

One of the best guitars ever! Höfner 176! These are the 60s, this is Surf, this is Rock n Roll! The 176 is the deluxe version and got all that what you miss on the 172, 173 and 175 models. The circuit is very cool and easy to understand. The tone variations are big and you find fast your own favorites – It’s hard to decide what tone to use because they sound all very cool The sound is very impressive and it’s a lot of fun to play this guitar. Equipped with the famous Franz Pix 511 Nova Sonic pickups and here in the rare color solid white! When I was still collecting white Höfner guitars I was always missing a white 176 and now here is such a beautiful piece … maybe I should collect white Höfners again;)
The 176 is from 1965! Accordingly it has signs of use! Despite the age there are still traces of use on paint, hardware and plastic. The white solid paint is covered with scratches, cracks and quirks. Nevertheless, it still got a very nice shine from the restoration. The lacquer on the neck shows some hairline cracks, but it still shines very nicely and is in great condition. The celluloid pickguard has signs of wear and tear, but is still in great condition and free of cracks. The lettering on the pickguard is still legible. The pickups was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The electronics are original except for some resistors with the same values that were exchanged in the past.
I gave the 176 a major overhaul. The lacuer was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. The vibrato was completely dismantled, cleaned, prepared and re-lubricated by me. Runs nice and smooth. Mechanisms have been dismantled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned, checked and grounded controlled. The neck adjusted for a great action. Fretboard and frets dressed, cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 176 is ocatve clean and setuped.
