Eines der besten Gitarren ever! Höfner 176! Das sind die 60er, dass ist Surf, dass ist Rock n Roll! Die 176 in der Deluxe Version und bietet all das, was man bei der 172, 173 und 175 vermisst. Die Schaltung ist sehr ausgeklügelt, aber sehr einfach zu verstehen. Die Tonevariation rießig, Favoriten lassen sich da schnell finden – Eher dann die Qual der Wahl welchen Ton man gerade spielen möchte. Ausgestattet mit den berühmten Franz Pix 511 Nova Sonic Pickups und hier in der Deluxe Variante, wo sich per Poti die Intensität des Rhythmn Schalters einstellen lässt.
Die 176 ist von 1967! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich trotz des Alters dennoch Gebrauchsspuren auf Lack, Hardware und Kunststoff. Dennoch hat er noch einen sehr schönen Glanz durch die Restaurierung wieder bekommen. Der Lack am Hals zeigt einige Haarrisse und Abnutzungen, glänzt aber noch sehr schön und ist im super Zustand. Das Vinyl ist noch sehr gut erhalten, liegt überall an und glänzt nach der Restaurierung wieder sehr schön. Altersbedingt ist das Vinyl über die Jahre minimal vergilbt und stellenweise geschrumpft . Der Keder ringsherum liegt auch noch gut an. Das Celluloid Schlagbrett hat Abnutzungen und Gebrauchsspuren, ist aber noch super erhalten und rissfrei. Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist noch gut leserlich. 2 von 6 Spulen der Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original bis auf eine neue getauschte Input Buchse. Die 176 hat von mir eine neue Bundierung mit Wagner Bünden bekommen und lässt sich herrlich spielen.
Die 176 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vinyl und Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert. Vibrato zerlegt, aufbereitet und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt, geprüft und auf Erdung kontrolliert. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die 176 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

One of the best guitars ever! Hofner 176! It’s the 60’s, it’s surf, it’s rock n roll! The 176 in the deluxe version and offers everything that is missing from the 172, 173 and 175. The circuit is very sophisticated but very easy to understand. The tone variation is huge, favorites can be found quickly – rather then the agony of choosing which tone you want to play. Equipped with the famous Franz Pix 511 Nova Sonic pickups and here in the deluxe version, where the intensity of the rhythm switch can be adjusted via a potentiometer.
The 176 is from 1967! Accordingly, it has signs of use! Despite its age, there are still signs of wear on the paintwork, hardware and plastic. Nevertheless, it has regained a very nice shine through the restoration. The paint on the neck shows some hairline cracks and wear, but still has a very nice shine and is in great condition. The vinyl is still in very good condition, lies everywhere and shines again very nicely after the restoration. Due to its age, the vinyl has yellowed minimally over the years and has shrunk in places. The binding all around also fits well. The celluloid pickguard has signs of wear and tear, but is still in great condition and free of cracks. The lettering on the pickguard is still legible. two of six coils of the pickups where rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and rotary potentiometer. The electronics are original except for a new exchanged input socket. The 176 got a refret from me with Wagner fretwire and can be played now wonderfully.
I gave the 176 a major overhaul. The lacuer and vinyl was cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. The vibrato was completely dismantled, cleaned, prepared and re-lubricated by me. Runs nice and smooth. Mechanisms have been dismantled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned, checked and grounded controlled. The neck adjusted for a great action. Fretboard and frets dressed, cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 176 is ocatve clean and setuped.
