Zur Abgabe kommt dieser wunderschöne Höfner 500/5 Bass mit den toll klingenden Franz Pix Typ 3 Toaster Pickups in „Cavern“ Anordnung aus dem Jahre 1961 im strahlenden Blonde. Definitiv sehr selten in dieser Farbausführung und mit dieser Pickupanordnung und vor allem mit den Franz Pix Type 3 Tonabnehmern
Der 500/5 ist von 1961! Entsprechend hat Er Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock, Body und den Teilen. Der Lack lies sich bei der Restaurierung wieder sehr schön herstellen und glänzt unglaublich schön, ebenso wie die Hardware Teile. Die Beschriftung auf dem Control Panel ist nicht mehr so gut leserlich. Beide Franz Pix Type 3 Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt – Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Die Elektronik ist Original. Der Hals ist gerade, abgerichtet und eingestellt. Eine Neubundierung ist nicht erforderlich. Oftmals fehlt das Schlagbrett bei diesen Modellen, zumal es in Rot Celuloid recht selten ist – Großartig das es hier im guten Zustand ohne Brüche vorhanden ist.
Der 500/5 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden zerlegt, gereinigt, poliert und neu geschmiert ebenso wie jede einzelne Schraube. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage und bekam von mir einen Neck Reset mit Hautleim. Griffbrett und Bünde abgerichtet, gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Keine Neubundierung erforderlich. Der 500/5 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.
Ohne Case! Der Bass wird aber sicher verpackt!

Up for sale is this beautiful Höfner 500/5 Bass with the great sounding Franz Pix Type 3 Pickups in „Cavern“ position from 1961 in a shiny blonde finish. Definitely very rare in this color version and with this pickup arrangement and especially with the Franz Pix Type 3 pickups
The 500/5 is from 1961! Accordingly, it has signs of use! There are quirks, things and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock, body and parts. The lacquer could be restored very nicely during the restoration and shines incredibly beautiful as well as the hardware parts. The lettering on the control panel is no longer that legible. Both Franz Pix Type 3 „cavern“ pickups work as well as every switch and potentiometer. The pickups was rewound by me. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. The electronics are original. The neck is straight, dressed and set up. A refret is not required. Often the pickguard is missing on these models, especially since it is quite rare in red celuloid – great that it is here and in good condition without cracks
I gave the 500/5 a major overhaul. The paint is cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanisms have been dissassembled, cleaned, polished and re-lubricated like every screw and part on the bass. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a great action and also became a neck reset with hide glue. Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 500/5 is ocatve clean and setuped.
