Zur Abgabe kommt eine schöne Höfner 173 in White Vinyl mit dem berühmten Mix aus Franz pix 510 Diamond und Franz Pix 511 Staple Pickups aus dem Jahre 1965. Selten ist mehr, dass Sie komplett in Weiß Vinyl ist und auch das alte Schlagbrett hat, welches gerne im Jahre 1962 verwendet wurde.
Die 173 ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat Sie Gebrauchsspuren! Es finden sich Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Risse an Headstock und den Teilen. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen. Die Plastic Vibrato Abdeckung auf der Rückseite hat eine kleine Bruchstelle (siehe Bild). Die Beschriftung auf dem Schlagbrett ist stellenweise noch gut leserlich, zeigt aber Abnutzungen. Das Vinyl wurde vom Vorbesitzer mit einer Art Schutzfilm überzogen. Ich habe diesen auf der Vorderseite entfernt – Es finden sich stellenweise noch kleine Rückstände, welche aber entfernt werden können. Auch finden sich Beschriftungsreste auf dem Vinyl, denke es ist auf dem Bild gut zu erkennen – War wohl mal Filzstift – Habe nicht alles entfernen können. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Elektronik ist Original bis auf einen Poti welcher getauscht wurde gegen ein anderes Fabrikat. Ein Stück Plastik fehlt am Saitenreiter bei der D Saite, liegt aber noch sauber auf.
Der Hals ist eingestellt und die Bünde abgerichtet. Die Saitenlage ist ab dem 12. Bund etwas höher (2mm), der Hals hat einen leichten Upbow welcher darauf zurückzuführen ist, dass die Gitarre über Jahre die falschen Saiten aufgezogen hatte. Der Hals muss sich erst wieder entspannen und muss sich an den neuen Saitenzug gewöhnen, entsprechend kann er dann mit dem Trussrod nachgestellt werden. Ich habe den Hals so abgerichtet, dass dies dann auf später passen wird.
Die 173 hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Das Vinyl wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine möglichst gute Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Die 173 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

! Anmerkung zur Corona Lage:

A beautiful original Höfner 173 in White vinyl with the famous Franz pix 510 diamond and 511 staple pickups from 1965 is for sale. Also nice that she comes with the rar pickguard that was used on the early 1962 models.
The 173 is from 1965 ! Accordingly, it has signs of use! There are quirks, things and dongs, scratches and cracks on the headstock and parts. The pickguard also has some scratches and scuffs. The plastic vibrato cover on the back has a small break (see picture). The letters on the pickguard is still legible in places, but shows signs of wear. The vinyl was covered with a kind of protective film by the previous owner. I removed this from the front – there are still small residues in places, but these can be removed. There are also remnants of painting on the vinyl, I think it’s easy to see on the picture – I guess it was a felt pen – I couldn’t remove everything. All pickups work, as well as every switch and rotary potentiometer. The electronics are original except of one potentiometer that was replaced by a different manufactur model. A piece of plastic is missing from the bridge saddle of the D string, but it is still clean laying on it.
The neck is adjusted and the frets dressed. The string action is slightly higher from the 12th fret (2mm), the neck has a slight upbow which is due to the fact that the guitar had pulled the wrong strings for years. The neck first has to relax again and has to get used to the new string tension. It can then be readjusted accordingly with the truss rod. I’ve dressed the frets so that it will fit later perfect.
I gave the 173 a major overhaul. The vinyl is cleaned, disinfected and polished up by me. Mechanisms have been cleaned and re-lubricated. All electrics treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for the best string action. Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The 173 is ocatve clean and setuped.
The guitar is ready to roll!
