Ich darf euch diesen schönen Höfner 185 Artist Bass vorstellen aus dem Baujahr 1965. Der Höfner war original Weiß lackiert und wurde irgendwann einmal vom Lackbefreit auf Holz-Optik. Nunja, der Bass ist jetzt wieder weiß – Es ist keine Professionelle Lackierung, aber Sie sieht sehr gut aus glänzt auch sehr schön. Kann also jetzt wieder vom Lack befreit werden oder er bleibt jetzt einfach einmal Weiß 😊
Der Bass hat die berühmten Franz Pix Staple Bar „Nova Sonic“ Pickups eingebaut – dieselben die auch im 500/1 Violin Bass von McCartney verbaut waren/sind.
Der Bass ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat er Gebrauchsspuren! Das Schlagbrett hat vereinzelt an den Schraubenlöcher Risse – Diesen wurden neu verklebt. Es fehlt ein kleines Stück Pickgaurd hinter dem Rahmen des Steg Tonabnehmers. Das Schlagbrett hält aber ohne Probleme. Die beiden Staple Bar Tonabnehmer funktionieren einwandfrei, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Zusammengefasst. Wie erwähnt wurde der Bass neulackiert, dies sollte hier bedacht werden.
Der Bass hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen.

I would like to introduce you this beautiful Höfner 185 Artist Bass from the year 1965. The Höfner was originally painted white and was stripped from his paint with a wood look. Well, the bass is now white again – it is not a professional paint job, but it looks very good and shines beautifully. The paint can now be stripped again or it just remains white at this time 😊
The bass hast he famous Staple Bar „Nova Sonic“ pickups. The same that are used in the 500/1 Violin Bass and the same type that Paul McCartney used in his violin bass
The bass is from 1965! Accordingly, it has signs of wear! The pickguard has some cracks in the screw holes – these have been re-glued. A small piece of Pickgaurd is missing behind the frame of the bridge pickup. The pickguard holds without problems. The two Staple Bar pickups work perfectly, as well as each switch and potentiometer. Summarized. As mentioned, the bass was repainted, this should be considered here.
The bass has received a comprehensive overhaul from me. The tuners were cleaned and re-lubricated. Total electrics treated. The neck set for a very good low string action. Fingerboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and polished.
