Beschreibung
Zur Abgabe kommt ein schöner original redburst lackierter Höfner 185 shortscale Bass, mit den berühmten Super Nova Pickups aus dem Jahre 1965. Die Premium Variante von Höfner seinerseits mit den schönen Griffbrettinlays und dem Binding am Hals. Es handelt sich hierbei um richtig gute Bässe, die sich von den großen nicht verstecken müssen, sofern Sie richtig gewartet und eingestellt sind….hier haben wir einen von mir und mit seinen nur 2,79 kg einer der leichteren der Sorte. Ich darf anmerken, dass dies hier ein richtiger Bass mit Druck ist!
Der Bass ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat er Gebrauchsspuren! Der Lack ist übersehen von Macken, Dings und Dongs, Kratzer und Rissen. An den Cutaways an der Halstasche finden sich auf jeder Seite zwei Risse – Diese habe ich geprüft und es sind keine Schäden am Korpus, sondern lediglich typische Lack-Spannungsrisse wie wir Sie auch von anderen großen Herstellern kennen. Dennoch ist der Lack sehr schön erhalten und hat noch einen sehr schönen kräftigen Glanz. Das Schlagbrett hat ebenfalls einige Kratzer und Abnutzungen, hat aber noch einen schönen Glanz. Es wurde oberhalb des Schlagbrettes einmal in der Vergangenheit ein weiteres Loch gebohrt. Die Schrift der Tonabnehmerauswahlschalter ist noch sehr gut leserlich. Die Tonabnehmer wurden von mir neu gewickelt – Besser gesagt 3 von 4 Spulen. Von mir gewickelte Tonabnehmer sind authentisch. Ich verwende den gleichen Draht-Typ; dasselbe Tape und Kreppmaterial; die gleiche Windungsrichtung; selbe Windungsanzahl; gleiche Zusammenbautechnik – Es gibt keinen hörbaren Unterschied zu einem Original. Alle Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Die Bünde sind im sehr guten Zustand und abgerichtet. Eine Neubundierung ist noch nicht erforderlich. Der Hals ist gerade und eingestellt.
Der Bass hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Der Lack wurde von mir umfassend gereinigt, desinfiziert und aufpoliert. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt, gereinigt und geprüft. Der Hals eingestellt für eine super Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen. Der Höfner 185 ist Bundrein und eingestellt.

! Anmerkung zur Corona Lage:

Here weh ave a beautiful original redburst lacquered Höfner 185 shortscale bass comes with the famous Super Nova pickups from 1965. The premium variant from Höfner with the beautiful fretboard inlays and the binding on the neck. These are really good basses that don’t have to hide from the big ones, as long as they are properly maintained and adjusted … here we have one of mine and with its only 2.79kg one of the lighter of the kind. This is a bass with much pressure
The bass is from 1965! Accordingly, it has signs of use! The lacquer is overlooked by quirks, things and dongs, scratches and cracks. There are two cracks on each side of the cutaways on the neck pocket – I checked these and there are no damage to the body, but just typical lacquer stress cracks as we know from other major manufacturers. Nevertheless, the paint is very well preserved and still has a very nice, strong shine. The pickguard also has some scratches and wear, but still has a nice shine. Once in the past, another hole was drilled above the pickguard. The lettering on the pickup selection switch is still very legible. The pickups were rewound by me – Better said 3 of 4 coils. Pickups I have rewound are authentic. I use the same type of wire; the same tape and crepe material; the same direction of winding; same number of turns; Same assembly technique – there is no audible difference to an original. All pickups work, as well as every switch and potentiometer. The frets are in very good condition and dressed. Re-fretting is not yet required. The neck is straight and set uped.
The bass has received a comprehensive overhaul from me. The lacquer was cleaned, disinfected and polished by me. Mechanics were cleaned and relubricated. All electric treated, cleaned and checked. The neck adjusted for a super string action. Fretboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and sanded. The Höfner 185 is octave clean and setuped.
