Ein schöner 182 Höfner Shortscale Bass von 1965. Drückender dicker sound aus den 60er, eine Meisterleistung von Höfner seinerseits. Mit seinen nur 2,67kg ist dieser Bass ein echtes Leichtgewicht!
Der Bass hat die berühmten Staple Bar Pickups eingebaut – dieselben die auch im 500/1 Violin Bass von McCartney verbaut waren/sind.
Der Bass ist von 1965! Entsprechend hat er Gebrauchsspuren! Das lackierte Redburst ist übersät von feinen Lackrissen – Die Optik ist der Wahnsinn! Ich habe die Risse fixiert, so dass diese nicht abbrechen. Es könnte aber dem Alter entsprechend passieren, dass Lack über längere Zeit abblättern wird bei regelmäßiger Benutzung, aber das ist ja bei jedem Instrument so. Die beiden Staple Bar Tonabnehmer funktionieren, sowie jeder Schalter und Drehpoti. Das weiße Pickguard (selten) ist nahezu im perfekten Zustand.
Diverse Schrauben wurden gegen neue teilweise NOS Schrauben ersetzt, da die alten nicht mehr verwendbar waren. Der Bass hat eine sonderbare Ausstrahlung mit seinen Rissen, total „Vintage“. Der Sound ist wie erwartet drückend und vielseitig, dank dem Höfner Control Panel.
Der Bass hat von mir eine umfassende Überholung bekommen. Mechaniken wurden gereinigt und neu geschmiert. Gesamte Elektrik behandelt. Der Hals eingestellt für eine gute Saitenlage. Griffbrett und Bünde gesäubert, behandelt, geölt und Geschliffen.

Here we have a beauty Höfner 182 shortscale bass from 1965. A fat pressing sound from the 60s – A masterpiece from Höfner that time. With only 2.67kg (5,8 pounds) this bass is a real lightweight!
The bass hast he famous Staple Bar Pickup. The same that are used in the 500/1 Violin Bass and the same type that Paul McCartney used in his violin bass
The bass is from 1965! Accordingly, he has signs of wear! The painted red burst is littered with fine lacquer cracks – the look is amazing! I have fixed the cracks so that they do not break off. Depending on the age it could happen that paintflakes will peel off over a long period of time with regular use, but that’s the case with every instrument. The two staple bar pickups work as well as each switch and rotary potentiometer. The white pickguard (rare) is almost in perfect condition.
Various screws were replaced with new, partially NOS screws, since the old ones could no longer be used. The bass has a awesome charisma with its cracks, totally „vintage“. As expected, the sound has pressure and versatile, thanks to the Höfner Control Panel and the staplebar humbucker pickups
The bass has received a comprehensive overhaul from me. The tuners were cleaned and re-lubricated. Total electrics treated. The neck set for a very good low string action. Fingerboard and frets cleaned, treated, oiled and polished.
